WiseEye MC-2
If your top requirements for a cellular trail camera are great picture quality and simplicity, then the WiseEye MC-2 might be for you.
You don’t need to think about which cellular provider has the best service in your area—the MC-2 connects to all major service providers automatically. Simply flip the power switch on and wait for the light bars to indicate it’s good to go.
Check your HuntControl app as HD pictures quickly arrive from your MC-2. Make sure it’s aimed where you want it, then you’re on to the next camera setup. It doesn’t get simpler than that.
Best for those who:
- Want great pictures
- Like simplicity
- Want to balance quality and cost
Description
Sharp, Clear Pictures
The first thing that stands out when you receive your first MC-2 picture is the sharpness and clarity. These MC-2 pictures are frame-worthy almost every time. If picture quality is what’s been missing from your current cameras, it won’t be missing on the MC-2 (or any WiseEye cell camera model, for that matter).
Simple Setup
Simple and efficient is how I’d describe the MC-2. When mosquitoes are swarming you in the woods, the faster you can get that camera set, the better. With the flip of a switch and some green light indicators, you’re ready to arm your camera and check your HuntControl app for pictures. Make a few adjustments so your target area is centered in the image, and you’re off to the next setup.
Video + Burst Modes
While I typically recommend no-glow models for video mode (like the DC-2 No Glow), the MC-2 with IR illumination is capable of great video. The IR illumination really lights up the area well but can be noticeable when on for long periods.
The feature I really like and use often on the MC-2 is Burst Mode. Burst Mode allows you to take 1–5 images each time the camera is triggered. This is great for just about any setup where animals are passing by the camera, like on trails or field edges. It’s also very useful on scrapes to capture multiple images and angles of a big buck’s rack.
Compact
Small cameras are easier to hide. The MC-2 is definitely a compact little camera, measuring only 4¾” x 3½” x 2½”. It fits in the palm of your hand. Even though the case isn’t camouflaged, its small size helps it blend in incredibly well.
It doesn’t take long to have an armful of cameras—and the accompanying solar panels or 12V battery boxes—to keep them powered on deployment day. You can fit a bunch of MC-2s in a backpack or slip one into a jacket pocket, leaving your hands free for all the extras.
