Why Choose the WiseEye MC-2 IR?
Sharp, Clear Pictures
One of the first things that stands out when you receive your first MC-2 pictures is the sharpness and clarity.
The MC-2 uses a 3MP native image sensor to produce sharp 12MP images, and it can also send HD video up to 1080p.
If picture quality is one of your biggest priorities but you don’t need all the additional features of the DC-2, the MC-2 offers an excellent balance of image quality, simplicity, and price.
Simple Setup
Simple and efficient is how I’d describe the MC-2.
Flip the power switch, wait for the indicator lights to show that the camera is ready, and check your HuntControl app as pictures begin arriving.
Take a few test pictures, adjust the camera until your target area is centered where you want it, and you’re ready to move on to the next setup.
When you’re putting out multiple cameras in one day — with mosquitoes swarming you in the woods — the faster you can get each camera set up and move on, the better.
MultiCarrier Cellular Connectivity
You don’t need to purchase a Verizon camera for one property and an AT&T camera for another.
The MC-2 uses MultiCarrier connectivity to automatically connect to the strongest supported cellular network available, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.
That’s convenient when you’re running cameras across different properties where cellular coverage may vary from one location to another.
Video + Burst Modes
The MC-2 can send HD video up to 1080p as either full video clips or thumbnail images.
One feature I really like on the MC-2 is Burst Mode. It allows the camera to capture 1–5 images each time it’s triggered.
This works great on trails and field edges where multiple pictures can give you a better look at an animal as it moves past the camera. I also like Burst Mode on scrapes, where several pictures can provide different angles of a buck’s rack.
Compact Design
The MC-2 measures only 4¾” × 3½” × 2½” and fits in the palm of your hand.
Its small size makes it easy to hide and easy to carry. When you’re deploying multiple cameras at once, you can fit several MC-2s in a backpack while leaving plenty of room for batteries, solar panels, and the rest of your trail camera gear.
Customize Your WiseEye MC-2 Bundle
Build your MC-2 package around how you actually plan to use your cameras.
Add the accessories you need and leave out the ones you don’t. Both cameras don’t even need to be configured the same way.
Accessories added to this bundle receive discounted package pricing compared to purchasing those accessories individually.
WiseEye 32GB SD Cards
REQUIRED — the MC-2 needs an SD card to operate.
Any compatible Class 10 U3 SD card under 128GB will work with the MC-2.
If you don’t already have compatible cards, add WiseEye 32GB Class 10 U3 SD cards to your bundle. They come formatted for WiseEye cameras and eliminate the guesswork of choosing a compatible card.
Remember, you’re purchasing two MC-2 cameras, so you’ll need a compatible SD card for each camera.
WiseEye Solar Panels
If your camera location receives adequate sunlight, adding a WiseEye Solar Panel is one of the best ways to keep your MC-2 running long-term while reducing trips into your hunting area to change batteries.
The WiseEye Solar Panel has its own built-in 5000mAh Li-ion battery, so it stores power in addition to providing solar charging.
Since the compact MC-2 holds 8 AA batteries, external power can provide considerably more power capacity for long-term camera deployments.
Solar is also a good option for cameras in marginal cellular reception areas, where maintaining a cellular connection can use more power.
12V Trail Camera Battery Boxes
Don’t have enough sunlight for solar? A 12V battery setup may be the better choice.
Our weatherproof 12V battery box lets you add your own compatible 12V battery, giving your MC-2 a large external power source for long-term use.
The box includes an armored stainless-steel power cable to help prevent squirrels and other critters from chewing through your power cord — something I’ve dealt with more times than I’d like.
It’s a great option for cameras deep in the timber, heavily shaded locations, or anywhere you want long runtime without relying on sunlight.
IMPORTANT: 12V battery is NOT included.
WiseEye MC-2 Security Boxes
Trail cameras aren’t cheap, and sometimes the biggest threat to them isn’t the weather or wildlife.
Add a WiseEye MC-2 Security Box for extra protection from theft, bears, and other potential damage.
For cameras placed on public land where legal, along roads, near property boundaries, or anywhere else I’m concerned about theft or damage, a steel security box is cheap insurance.
You can add boxes to both cameras or just the one that needs the extra protection.
Which MC-2 Power Setup Should I Choose?
WiseEye Solar Panel
A great choice for long-term setups with adequate sunlight. Its built-in rechargeable battery stores power and can greatly reduce your reliance on AA batteries.
12V Battery Box
A better choice for heavily shaded locations, cameras deep in the timber, or anywhere solar isn’t practical. Add your own compatible 12V battery for a large external power source without relying on sunlight.
AA Batteries
The MC-2 can operate on 8 AA batteries without external power. It’s the simplest setup, but adding external power can reduce battery changes and unnecessary trips to your camera during long-term cellular use.
Build Your MC-2 Bundle Your Way
Maybe you want solar panels on both cameras. Maybe one camera is going into an open location where solar makes sense while the other is going deep into the timber where a 12V battery box is a better choice.
Maybe you want security boxes on both cameras or only need one for a camera near a road or property boundary.
The choice is yours.
Add the accessories you need and leave out the ones you don’t. If you already know you’ll need accessories, adding them to your camera bundle gives you discounted package pricing compared to purchasing them individually.
Just remember that every MC-2 requires a compatible SD card to operate. If you don’t already have them, add two WiseEye 32GB SD cards to your package.
