Description
Cuddelink Cell Starter Pack
If you’re looking to get started with a Cellular Cuddelink System then this is not only a great option but it will also save you money! This kit includes a L Cell Home (this is your cellular receiving/transmitting unit) and 2 L series IR Remote Cameras that will take and send pictures to the Home Unit. From here you can just keep adding remote cameras to your system and only pay for 1 cell plan!
L Cell Home Unit
The Cuddelink L Cell Home does not have an camera inside. It’s sole job is to receive and send images to you from your Cuddelink network. The L Cell Home comes with AT&T and Verizon SIM cards installed which allows you to pick and switch cell carriers based on the best cell signal in your location. This is an excellent unit for placing up high to get the best cell and Cuddelink signal.
L Series IR Cameras
The L series is Cuddebacks newest model and offers some great improvements over the J series cameras it replaced. These include adjustable motion sensitivity settings and an excellent case design with improved battery connections and rubber seals to prevent water or ants from entering. Couple this with IR flash and you have a camera that will work in any situation.
Frequently Asked Questions Login to Ask a Question
- How many CuddeLink cameras can I connect to the Cuddeback Cuddelink 2+1...
The Cuddeback CuddeLink 2+1 Starter Kit includes one Home unit and two Remote cameras, but the system is designed to be expandable. You are not limited to just three cameras.
A single CuddeLink Home unit can manage up to 23 remote CuddeLink cameras on the same network. This means you can have a total of 24 devices in the network when the Home camera is included.
CuddeLink works by creating a private wireless network between cameras. Each remote camera captures images and automatically sends them back to the Home unit.
One of the biggest advantages of the system is its mesh-network technology. Cameras can relay images through other cameras, allowing the network to cover a much larger area than a standard wireless connection.
The Home unit serves as the central hub, collecting images from all connected cameras and storing them on a single SD card or transmitting them through LTE when using a Cell Home configuration.
This setup eliminates the need to visit every camera individually, saving time and reducing disturbance in hunting areas.
To ensure proper operation, each camera should have a unique location ID and all cameras must be configured to use the same network channel.
The system can also use repeater devices to extend communication range in challenging terrain. Repeaters do not take pictures but help pass images between distant cameras and the Home unit.
Under typical conditions, cameras can communicate over distances of approximately a quarter mile in wooded areas, with greater range possible in open terrain. Cameras can also daisy-chain signals through multiple devices to extend coverage for several miles.
Answer: The Cuddeback CuddeLink 2+1 system can support up to 23 remote cameras connected to one Home unit, giving you a network of up to 24 total devices. This makes it an excellent solution for monitoring large properties while managing all images from a single location.
